Welcome!

Canyon Lake used to be the best kept secret of the Texas Hill Country. Now it seems word has gotten out. Fortunately, it is not too late to experience the unique blend of beauty, climate, recreation and culture of Canyon Lake or to enjoy the refreshing waters of the Guadalupe River. Astounding views, friendly folks, water recreation, area attractions, and spectacular sunsets are some of the pleasures experienced by visitors and residents alike.

Living at Canyon Lake puts you in the cradle that allows you to rock on the front porch or rock out to your favorite music. Here you have many choices – relax and enjoy the solitude of the hills and valleys or kick up your heels at an area festival or two on the weekend; taste the offerings of the area wineries or explore the natural wonders of the caverns and fossils left behind millions of years ago; “toob” the river or shop the outlet malls; the list goes on.

Just south on 281, about 45 minutes away, is San Antonio. Here you have all that a big city has to offer and more. Explore the Alamo, the seat of Texas’ independence and other missions built since before Texas became a state. And, speaking of independence, San Antonio hosts Fiesta every spring. At Fiesta you can view parades and enjoy an array of cultural events and a rich variety of food. Check out the River Walk for an experience not equaled anywhere else in Texas.

On the southeast side, you find New Braunfels. Founded in 1845 by German settlers, New Braunfels is over flowing with old world heritage and small town charm. Check out the Wurstfest – the 10 day salute to sausage in the fall where you’ll find a variety of entertainment, food, and fun plus many special events throughout New Braunfels and Comal County. Stroll around the square, poke around in the museums, explore the historic districts, take in the performing arts, or enjoy family fun at the country's number one waterpark, Schlitterbahn.

Music, festivals and market days abound in the surrounding communities to the north and west of Canyon Lake. In fact, many musicians make their home in the area and can be found week in and week out trying out new material at local venues. Kerrville has the annual folk-life festival. Market days are held one weekend each month in Fredericksburg, Wimberley, Gruene, Blanco and other nearby communities. Did I mention, that if you really want to get away, Lukenbach is also in the neighborhood. The homes shown here is a small sample of the many homes at Canyon Lake. Click here to search for more.
